Compare & Connect handles all the paperwork on your behalf, ensuring you can quickly access essential utilities such as electricity, gas, broadband, pay TV, and more.
Skip the stress, save time, and avoid endless research by filling out one simple online form and get everything sorted!
Editors note: When I tried to connect our utilities for our new home in Australia, I researched all the major companies for each of our main services: Foxtel/Sky TV, power/electricity, phone, and broadband. I weighed up all the different packages on offer and decided on the best deals.
When I went to set up my accounts, I found out we didn’t have any of the paperwork the companies needed! We didn’t have proof of address, three months’ wages, or three months’ bank statements from an Australian bank.
That’s when I found Compare & Connect…
We also needed a utility invoice for proof of address to get our Medicare card, set up a bank account (unless you set up your bank account before you left NZ like my husband), and so many other services that want proof of identity documents.
I was so happy when I came across Connect & Compare. I managed to get all our utilities to be connected within minutes. I could have saved myself so much time, money, and stress.
They offered all the current deals from a great range of suppliers, so we got exactly what we wanted without hassle. We only needed to complete a straightforward online form, and they took care of the rest.

July 9, 2023 at 8:02 pmHi JJ….this article confused me. It started by recommending MyConnect so I was looking forward to a link for their site – but suddenly the article was all about a different company called On The Move. Are these different companies or has MyConnect changed to On The Move? Is it an article editing issue, or perhaps not up to date? I have been really enjoying using your site for my migration research. Thanks, QJ, Auckland

July 12, 2023 at 1:59 pmHi QJ,
Thank you for your comment.
I’ve just read that post and it is outdated and confusing.
All of these companies do the same job and I’d expect to offer the same offers. However, on comparing the different providers I am going to change that post to promote Compare and Connect.
Compare and Connect have a great comparison tool, so you can make a more educated decision on which service providers you would like to use: https://www.compareandconnect.com.au/.
Sorry for the confusion and thank you for bringing my attention back to this post.
Please feel free to email me back any further questions you have.
Good luck with your move.
